E6Built by John Abbey in 1838, it was originally an instrument consisting of 2 keyboards and 8 stops and a pedalboard in pull on 18 notes. The neo-Gothic sideboard was made by the carpenter Boileau. In 1900, Merklin transformed it and brought it to 12 stops. In 1961, Jean Hermann modified the Stoplist (addition Sesquialtera II and PLein-Jeu III).Between 1976 and 1980, complete revoicing by Maciet (problament the addition Larigor 1 1/3 and Whistle 1).In 1995, Bernard Dargassies restored the organ and modified the Stoplist again. The old Sesquialtera II of the GO was moved to the Swell in two independant stops to make room for a Trompette 8’. The modified Récit has returned to its original layout. Only the Montre and perhaps the Prestant are made by Abbey, revoiced. The rest of the piping is from Merklin and Hermann.
The harmoniumIt is a German Hofberg harmonium in very good condition. Its Stoplist is particularly representative of this type harmonium. Lars Magnus Hofberg (1862-1919) came originally from Sweden, he worked with Theodor Mannborg in Germany in the 1890s before founding his own harmonium factory in Leipzig. He specialized in the manufacture of aspiring harmoniums (including models with 2 keyboards and pedals). After his death, his heirs continued to manufacture harmoniums under the same name until 1930.Text: Thierry Correard
